武装詳細

新型ガンポッド58mm(共通)
押しっぱなしで快適に敵を蹴散らせる良好性能。
バトロイドで撃ちっぱなしにすると機体方向と一緒にあさってを向くので、
ガウォークでの使用を推奨。

マイクロミサイルランチャー(ファイター・ガウォーク)
安心と信頼の納豆ミサイル。雑魚散らしにボスにと何にでも使える。
ファイターで往復しながら使用したり、ガウォークで一体に連続ロックオンしたりと優秀なダメージソース。

12.7mmビーム機銃(バトロイド)25mm機銃(ガウォーク)
素直な軌道で飛んでいくレーザー機銃。なぜかガンポッドより火力が高い。
動きながら撃てる。
コストはミサイルより一つ高いが、ミサイルロックの手間がかからない上に火力が出るので、使用する機会は多い。
特に大型ボス相手だと、ミサイルの膨らんで動く軌道のせいでフルヒットしづらい時があるため、こちらのほうが優秀な場合も多い。

バースト:ガンポッド掃射(バトロイド)
左・右・上と大きく移動しながらガンポッドを連射する。
最大チャージ時のジャンプ射撃はフルヒット時にはなかなかの威力が出る。
ミサイルの手軽さには勝てないが、アクセント程度には。

格闘
総じて動作は大振りで、扱いにくい。
- △>△:出の遅い二段突き。吹き飛ばしなし。封印安定。
- △>D△:最終段が吹き飛ばし属性に。使うならこっち。
- ↓↑△:相手に背を向けタックル。吹き飛ばしなし。使わなくていい。
- ↑△:ナイフを構えて突っ込む。多段ヒット技で、出てしまえば判定の持続が長く、カスりでもすればガリガリ連続ヒットする。
  ただし構えてから攻撃判定が出るまで大きな間がある。上記の「△>△」の初段より遅い。しかもモーションが大振りで、外すと大きな隙ができる。
  リスクは大きいが、威力・獲得テンション共に大きい。狙う価値はある。
  この技でファテスト・デリバリーのテムジンを撃墜するとトロフィーが取れる。

特徴

全体的に高性能でまとまったバルキリータイプの機体。
今回は右スティックで自在に変形が出来るようになったが、その分各形態の動きに制限がついた。

ファイター形態
バルキリーで唯一ハイパーブースト可能な形態。
長距離移動や、敵の誘導兵器を振り切る時等に使用する。
ロックした敵に向かって動いてくれない為、操作性がかなり特殊に感じる。
慣れない内は移動用と割り切ったほうが良い。
ファイター形態で急接近、若干通り過ぎてからバトロイドに変形し格闘、等のプレイはマクロスファンにとって憧れる動きでもある。是非マスターしたい。
※余談だが、コントロールタイプをフライトゲームの様にリバースに設定すると、動かせる照射系ビーム等の操作もリバースになってしまう

ガウォーク形態
今度はステップが可能な形態。ハイパーブーストはできない。
フロートタイプであるという事とステップ可能のため、細かい移動には向いている。
尚、VF-25系ののバルキリーはガウォーク形態で格闘が出来ない。
近接戦闘に入る場合はファイターで距離を離すか、バトロイドになろう。

バトロイド形態
ブーストが使用不可で、重力下では空中のステップも不可と言う、非常に動きが遅く感じる形態。
冗談抜きで遅い。
無重力では問題ないがステップの距離と速度？は劣悪なので位置調整や回避は素直にガウォークになるか、又はファイターになって距離を取ろう。
反面、この形態は武装が充実しており高火力を期待できる。
シールド等も装備しているが、とにかく動きが遅く回避も難しく感じるので常時バトロイド形態はお勧めしない。
しかし、ゲージ消費無しではバルキリーは火力に乏しいため、バトロイド形態の格闘のお世話になる事は多々ある。早いうちに慣れておこう。
尚、ウォーカータイプなので重力下では普通に落下する。

今作では各形態の役目がはっきりしており、状況に応じた形態を取れるようにする必要がある。
武装はゲージ１つで使えるミサイルがとにかく優秀。
マルチロック対応なので、雑魚の殲滅から1機に集中して攻撃等非常に使い勝手がいい。
バルキリー系統の機体が強キャラと言われる一因であるといえば、その強さが理解できるだろう。

・VF-0系との違い
約50年前のはるかな大先輩、VF-0Aと本機は性能が類似する点が多い。
同じバルキリーかつ汎用型という点で立ち位置を争う両者の違いをざっとまとめてみた。

VF-25Fにしかできないこと・勝っている点
- ガンポッドの火力が高い。
- ピンポイントバリア(防御)ができる。
- 強力な武装はバトロイドに集約されている。
VF-0Aにしかできないこと・勝っている点
- ガウォークでも格闘ができる。
- 武装が豊富。

要約すると、回避に自信がない・シンプルな操作系を好むプレイヤーにはVF-25F　変形の手間が面倒で、汎用性を求めるプレイヤーにはVF-0と言った具合か。

基本戦術などはVF-0の項が参考になる。
ただ、ガウォークで格闘ができないのは大きいので、ガウォークを基本としつつ、よりバトロイドでの立ち回りも重視するプレイスタイルが求められる。
相手の懐に入ってからバトロイドになるのでは遅い。格闘の間合いをつかみ、相手に先んじてバトロイドになろう。
